Streamline Your Rental Process and Organize Tenant Information

The real estate rental process can include a lot of documents going back and forth between the owner and the lease holder.  In this post we’re going to talk about how you can use WebMerge to completely manage the documents throughout the process and keep them organized along the way.

The first step in the process is to collect a rental application from the prospective tenant.  The easiest way to do this is to build an online form using a service like Formstack and then hook that up to WebMerge and your rental application (a fillable PDF?).  When a customer submits the online form, we’ll automatically put their information into the application and send it to you.

After the tenant has been approved and they’ve picked out an apartment, the next step is to have the renter sign the lease agreement.  This agreement usually has his/her name in a few spots, the rental price, address, and other information about the property.  You can easily setup a template for this agreement that will allow you to quickly enter the information and it will generate the customized agreement.  Plus, with our RightSignature delivery option you can easily grab an e-signature, then you’re done!

Now, throughout the year your resident will probably submit maintenance requests, you may have to send them notices, and you’ll need some way to keep all those documents organized.  With our cloud storage delivery options, you can easily save these documents in the cloud, organized in folders specific to each resident.  You don’t need to keep paper files anymore!
