Automatically Combine Uploaded Files from Typeform Submissions

Using Typeform to collect information from leads and customers via your website, can be a great time saver.  You’ll never have to collect information via phone or email again! 

In this example, we’re going to show you how to use WebMerge to automatically combine multiple files that are uploaded on our Typeform into a single PDF document.  We can then save that file to cloud storage, upload to our CRM, or even attach it to an email.

To help with this integration, we’re going to use our friends over at Zapier.  Inside Zapier, we’re going to setup a New Zap.  For the Trigger, we’re going to choose Typeform as the app, then New Entry as our trigger.
 


Once you authenticate your Typeform account, Zapier is going to load a list of all the forms in your Typeform account.  You’ll need to pick the form you want to monitor for new entries.
 


Next, we’re going to setup the Action of our Zap to combine the file upload fields on our form.  For the app, choose WebMerge and then Combine Files as the action.
 


After you authenticate your WebMerge account (if you don’t have a WebMerge account, signup here), you’ll be taken to a page where you’ll need to pick the files that you want to combine (pick the Typeform fields).
 


Next, we’re going to need to save the combined document somewhere.  In this example, we’re going to save it in Google Drive, but with Zapier you can send the file to many different services like a CRM, Google Print, e-signature, and more.

Add another Action to your Zap.  Choose Google Drive as the app, then Upload File as the action.
 


Once you authenticate your Google Drive account, Zapier is going to have you pick the folder that you want to save the files in, then you’ll pick the WebMerge file for the upload file you want to send to Google Drive.
 


Once you have that saved, go ahead and turn on your Zap and let’s run a test!  Open up your Typeform, then fill out the form and upload a few files.  Zapier will send the files over to WebMerge, they’ll be combined, then ultimately saved in Google Drive.  Completely automated!

Congrats, you’re finished!  You can now easily combine files that are uploaded to your online forms and save anywhere in the cloud.  Can you think of any other ways you can use WebMerge to simplify your
